Individual currency strength indexes had more in the way of definitive trends today with good divergence in all currency pairs, bar the EUR/AUD. Fundamentals also played their part and we had the annoying 7am high volatility UK data that mainly excluded our trade at that time. However the mainly positive news went to bolster all our Dom long GBP pairs.
The only casualty today was the Dom short EUR/AUD which was immediately lifted by favourable German and EU block data. As per usual, the Dax started to rise way before the positive data release at 10am and continued upwards before some profit taking just before the US open.
Today we saw a very respectable maximum potential of 795 from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.
A 10% target of this figure would have yielded 79 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

The markets are very much ‘meandering’ with little economic data to stir the pot and major players who are still on holiday. This is reflecting in our currency indexes which themselves have little momentum on low volumes. When these are combined for our ICS Balances, we are seeing little overall momentum within our Dom trends. That being said, good trades were still plentiful in all our instruments, especially our early entries.
Today we saw a respectable maximum potential of 615 from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.
A 10% target of this figure would have yielded 61 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

WELCOME TO OUR WEEKLY ROUNDUP & FRIDAYS DOM PROOF RESULTS.
Coronavirus still dominates our economies with worreis of a second wave. So far this hasn’t properly materialised but the expectation is already building prices in. Brexit is also becoming more prominent as we head closer to December deadline for a trade deal, with both parties refusing to budge.
There was little surprise with economic data releases but we are continuing to see conflicts in stock indices, with the US Dow trending long and most others trending short.
WEEKLY POINTS TOTAL: Including Friday, there was an overall maximum potential of 3,355 points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries from the UK morning sessions. A 10% target would have yielded a minimum of 335 points for the week.
Friday again saw lack of volumes due to the holidays which are generally causing markets to range more than trend, however we still saw some good trades in all our technical Dom directions. Even positive German data did little to overpower our Cat 3 short Dax.
Today we saw a respectable maximum potential of 675 from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.
A 10% target of this figure would have yielded 67 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

A very fundamental start to our trading day with high UK and medium volatility German data (upgrade to high for the German Dax) at 7am, immediately putting a spanner in our technical Doms. Fortunately our GBP pairs were Dom long and interest rate news, although expected, is always seen as good or positive. The old proverbial ‘no news is good news.’ This pushed the price higher but in such a way that disrupted our usual 7am trades, becoming more of a Post News Aftermath than a Jath.
As usual, the price of the Dax started to rise direct from the EUO, one hour before the announcement and against our short Doms. Low and behold, not only positive but highly deviated from the forecast. However come 8.30-45am, the brief long spike fizzled out and the Dom 3 short overpowered the news with a net fall in the price come the US open with some excellent trades but only after the news spike.
Today we managed a very decent maximum potential of 795 from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.
A 10% target of this figure would have yielded 79 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

ICS Balances were not favourable within our pairs today, with the only definitive currencies being a strong AUD and a weak USD. This made the AUD/USD a relentless long trend but owing to the average volatility, we don’t trade this pair as it’s far too slow for our usual entries
Our GBP pairs were trending both Dom long and short with decent trades on lower volumes. The only one to buck the trend was the Dom short GBP/JPY, which suffered later in the morning due to a weakening in the JPY which saw a net long come the US open. Still some good early trades though with the ‘Negative Plus’ (actual above previous) UK data having little effect in either direction. All other currencies did very well with decent trades in all.
We knew to be wary of the German Dax from the onset, with high volatility data at 855am and a trending conflict with the US Dow. Here again we had ‘Negative Plus’ data that caused an intrasession trend change but again, the price rose before the announcement and continued to rise to a net long come the US open. There were still a couple of early trades before the rot set in.
Today we managed a reasonable maximum potential of 490 from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.
A 10% target of this figure would have yielded 49 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.
