Conflicting ICS Balances greatly restricted momentum within our Dom trends but thankfully we were fully aware of this before the UK open. The only decent pair was the GBP/USD with a ‘strong’ GBP and ‘weak-ish’ USD but with the USD bring grossly oversold, a strengthening was expected and we saw this as the UK open progressed. Regardless, we still had some decent trades in all our currency pairs at our usual times on reduced volumes.

The German Dax had some wild swings on slightly positive early data and coronavirus infections.

Monday saw another reasonable maximum potential of 510 points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.

A 10% target of this figure would have yielded 51 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

WELCOME TO OUR WEEKLY ROUNDUP AND FRIDAYS DOM PROOFS

Brexit and coronavirus continue to be a thorn in our sides, with price swings from ever changing headlines. This again gave us a ‘swings and roundabouts’ scenario with the fundamental movements being either for or against our technical Doms. Again there were a few high volatility data releases stirring the pot but nothing that caused intraday trend changes.

Volumes, especially within our currency pairs remain very low for this time of year. We are seeing a slight increase in volumes and volatility but nowhere near the levels they should be.

WEEKLY POINTS TOTAL: Including Friday, there was an overall maximum potential of 2,310 points from from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries from the UK morning sessions. A 10% target would have yielded a minimum of 231 points for the week.

FRIDAY

Regardless of the general strength of the GBP, our Dom long and short pairs continued their respective directions way into the US session. NO other strategy would have predicted this.

This was the same with the Dom short EUR/AUD on an ICS Balance conflict, with the short momentum really taking hold into the US session.

The Dom long German Dax had little momentum but still yielding some decent points at our usual times. Volumes in all instruments remain very low for this time of year.

Friday saw another reasonable maximum potential of 410 points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.

A 10% target of this figure would have yielded 41 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

Economic data, Brexit and coronavirus all played their part in todays technical Dom trading with counter trends and reversals throughout the morning. The pound started strong-ish but a high volatility rated Bank of England speech from 8.25am had dovish tones that weakened the GBP and put a halt to our Dom long pairs but not before some good early points at our usual times.

Negative German data boosted our Dom short EUR/AUD but had little effect on the Dax with some excellent points. However a news article mid morning regarding coronavirus infections and the economy spiked the index down for a short while before recovering up to the US open.

Thursday saw a reasonable maximum potential of 585 points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.

A 10% target of this figure would have yielded 58 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

Yet another day where fundamentals had a big influence on our technical Doms, some good and some bad. The GBP Index started the day with some decent strength, which was boosted by positive UK data at 9.30am. Our early trades suffered a little with pre-news selloffs but overall all our Dom long GBP pairs gave some good points. However just before the end of the UK morning session, the pound literally dropped off a cliff on Brexit and interest rate talks.

The Dom long EUR/AUD gave some very decent points on mixed EU data but we saw some big swings on the Dax on initially positive German data, followed by negative data later in the morning.

Tuesday saw another decent maximum potential of 660 points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.

A 10% target of this figure would have yielded 66 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

The markets and especially the GBP seem to be in a state of ‘limbo,’ stuck between indecision regarding Brexit and coronavirus. Individual currency strengths themselves were lacking overall direction and this in turn is causing reduced momentum within our trends. The pound started the day ‘strong ish’ but was further boosted by positive UK data at 9.30am, eventually giving all our Dom long GBP pairs some very decent points.

Positive EU data put a spanner in the works of our Dom short EUR/AUD and although there were a few early trades, ICS Balance would have put this pair at the back of the queue.

The strengthening euro restricted overall gains in the Dom long Dax and that was despite positive-minus (actual below previous) German data, giving our usual manic though decent points.

Monday saw a decent maximum potential of 655 points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.

A 10% target of this figure would have yielded 65 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.
