The pound continued to strengthen on signs of a Brexit trade deal with the EU, giving our Dom long GBP pairs a nice boost. The only casualty was the GBP/AUD with an equally strong, if not stronger AUD, giving us an ICS Balance conflict. Regardless, points at our usual times were still decent.
The Dom short EUR/AUD gave some good points, as did the Dom long German Dax on two lots of positive data. However overall currency and stock volumes remain low for this time of year and are probably linked to the ‘waiting game’ between the US elections and an EU trade deal.
Tuesday saw another reasonable maximum potential of 480 points from specific Max Day Trading time/trend entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.
A TEN PERCENT target of this figure would have yielded 48 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/trend entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

Up and coming UK & German data did little to disrupt our technically long Dom GBP pairs and the Dax, while the Dom short EUR/AUD played out well until positive data lifted the price approaching the US open.
There was no surprise of the outcome of the German news, with the price increasing up to the announcement of mixed though positive data.

WELCOME TO OUR WEEKLY ROUNDUP AND FRIDAYS DOM PROOFS
US presidential elections continue to drag on with continued controversy over voting fraud and counting irregularities. The uncertanty over who will eventually become president is still very predominant.
Again, Brexit and Coronavirus had their moments, causing temporary swings upon news announcements. A further delay in the deadline for a deal saw the pound strengthen in the latter part of the week. We’re also starting to get plagued again with low vulumes which are limiting our overall point gains.
WEEKLY POINTS TOTAL: Including Friday, there was a decent maximum potential of 2,905 points from from specific Max Day Trading time/price level entries from the UK morning sessions. A TEN PERCENT target would have yielded a minimum of 290 points for the week.
FRIDAY
ICS Balances were hitty missy today but most of our currency pairs behaved well in their technical Dom directions. Brexit news from the EU appeared to weaken an originally strong euro at the UK open, limiting points in the EUR/AUD but in turn giving a boost to German stocks within the Dax.
Friday saw another reasonable maximum potential of 535 points from specific Max Day Trading time/trend entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.
A TEN PERCENT target of this figure would have yielded 53 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/trend entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

We knew before the UK open got underway that a strengthening pound was going to play havoc with Dom short GBP pairs. The strengthening continued with more Brexit fundamentals but at least we saw a strong USD keeping the lid on any upward movement of the GBP/USD. Still decent trades at our usual times.
The Dom long EUR/AUD gave some good points, as did the German Dax.
Thursday saw another reasonable maximum potential of 570 points from specific Max Day Trading time/trend entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.
A TEN PERCENT target of this figure would have yielded 57 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/trend entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

There were several things we had to contend with today. Firstly was positive UK data at 7am, secondly was an unusual and steady strengthening of the AUD from the UK open and thirdly, volumes have considerably dropped again causing large visual movements on our charts when in fact little overall points were available. I think the markets are in a consolidation ‘waiting mode’ to see the eventual outcome of the US elections and Brexit trade negotiations with the EU.
All in all there were still some decent early points in our currency pairs, with the star and saviour of the day being the German Dax.
Wednesday saw a reasonable maximum potential of 480 points from specific Max Day Trading time/trend entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.
A TEN PERCENT target of this figure would have yielded 48 net points from specific Max Day Trading time/trend entries, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.
