Our GBP pairs were trending in both the Dom long and short directions today, along with having to contend with economic announcements and Covid fundamentals. Unfortunately an article appeared before the 9.30am data announcement, plummeting the UK pound because of a supposed new Covid variant that is more deadly than the Delta. Positive UK data did little to lift the pound shortly after. All in all we still managed some early points in our Dom long pairs (GBP/JPY & GBP/USD), with the benefit going to our Dom short pair (GBP/AUD).

The Dom short EUR/AUD did very well but the Dom long Dax suffered from mixed but mainly negative data which rebounded later in the morning.

Tuesday saw an increased maximum potential of 650 points from specific Max Day Trading time/trend entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.

JUST A TEN PERCENT target of this figure would have yielded 65 net points, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

There was only one decent ICS Balance at the UK open, the Dom long GBP/USD. This gave a very decent trend albeit on low volumes and the absent of US market movers in the afternoon due to the 4th July holiday. We had to rely on just Dom technical analysis for our remaining pairs and as expected, trend momentum was literally non existent. However we still had decent points at our usual times.

The Dom long Dax suffered again from economic data breaches, as negative German data at 8.55am had the price moving down far earlier than the official announcement. With the negativity already built in, the price recovered quickly giving us some good points on the way back up.

Monday saw a reasonable maximum potential of 410 points from specific Max Day Trading time/trend entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.

JUST A TEN PERCENT target of this figure would have yielded 41 net points, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

WELCOME TO OUR WEEKLY ROUNDUP.

Coronavirus, EU relations (Brexit) and US voting fraud investigations continue to cause very low volumes and volatility, as the markets wait for clearer conclusions as to final outcomes.

The Arizona forensic audiit looks set to continue until the end of June, with the full findings being published by mid August. Several other counties are now pushing for similar forensic audits in the light of the highly praised conduct of the current one.

FRIDAY

The GBP Index itself was all over the place today with no momentum in any direction. Trends were therefore reliant on the strength or weakness of its pairing, giving us swings and roundabouts in our GBP pairs that were both Dom long and short.

There were lots of hesitation in the markets prior to the US NFP, the biggest announcement of the month and this reflected almost everywhere. All in all, we still managed some decent points at our usual times in all our instruments.

Friday saw a reasonable maximum potential of 525 points from specific Max Day Trading time/trend entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.

JUST A TEN PERCENT target of this figure would have yielded 52 net points, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

Weekly totals came in at 2,855

ICS Balances were not great today and we had official economic data to contend with. This led to some manic movements which were exaggerated by the AUD bouncing off the bottom of the H4 chart. This disrupted the Dom long GBP/AUD and also the Dom short EUR/AUD.

The Dax gave us another roller-coaster ride with negative and positive German data, with the Dom short trend resuming by mid-morning and some excellent points to be had.

Thursday saw an improved maximum potential of 710 points from specific Max Day Trading time/trend entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.

JUST A TEN PERCENT target of this figure would have yielded 71 net points, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.

The British pound started the day with little strength, as market movers contemplated the mixed UK economic data release at 7am. After an initial drop from negative GDP data, the pound rallied towards the end of the morning. Again our GBP pairs were trending both long and short and specific trades were plentiful at our usual times.

The Dom long EUR/AUD did well considering a poor ICS Balance and again, the odd one out was the Dom long Dax despite positive German data. We still caught some decent early points before the price ended up net short come the US open.

Wednesday saw another reasonable maximum potential of 540 points from specific Max Day Trading time/trend entries within our five instruments from the UK morning session alone, with a minimum target of just 30.

JUST A TEN PERCENT target of this figure would have yielded 54 net points, with many additional opportunities in the US morning (UK afternoon) and US afternoon (UK evening) sessions.
